This policy explains what information Poople ("we," "the site") collects when you play, and how it's used.
What we store locally on your device
Poople saves your puzzle progress and stats — your current streak, best streak, games played, and today's in-progress ladder — using your browser's localStorage. This data:
- Stays on your device. We don't receive it, see it, or store a copy of it on any server.
- Isn't tied to your name, email, or any account — there's no account system.
- Is cleared if you clear your browsing data for this site, and doesn't carry over between different browsers or devices.
Fonts
This site loads two typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser makes a request to Google, which may log standard technical information like your IP address, in line withGoogle's own privacy policy. We don't control or receive that data ourselves.
Advertising and analytics

Server logs
Like almost any website, the server or hosting provider serving this site may automatically log basic technical information with each request — things like your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is standard web server behavior used for security and diagnosing outages, not something this site's own code collects or reads. Links to other sites
This site links out to a small number of external pages — for example, Google's own privacy and ad-settings pages. We don't control those sites and this policy doesn't cover them; once you leave, their own privacy policy applies.
Data retention
Because the only data this site's own code stores is the browserlocalStorage described above, there's no server-side retention period to speak of — it persists for as long as it stays in your browser, and disappears the moment you clear it or the browser clears it itself. Your rights over your data
Because we don't collect personal data on our servers, there's nothing for us to access, export, or delete on request — the only copy of your Poople data is the one sitting in your own browser, which you can already view or clear yourself through your browser's settings at any time. If you're in a region with specific statutory data rights (for example, the EU/UK's GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), those rights apply to any personal data a controller actually holds; as described above, this site's own code doesn't hold any. Third-party services you add, like AdSense or Analytics, are separate data controllers with their own rights processes — link to those in the section above once you've added them.
Children's privacy
Poople isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age — the only data involved is the local storage described above, which never leaves your device through our own code.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Material changes — for example, adding a new third-party service that collects data differently than described here — will be reflected in the "Advertising and analytics" section above.
